Sound Boost Pro is a Chrome extension that amplifies audio output in your browser. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (none) and how the extension works.
Data We Collect
Sound Boost Pro does not collect any of the following:
- Name, email, or any identifying information
- Browsing history or websites visited
- Audio data or media content
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location
- Usage statistics or analytics
- Crash reports or error logs
Local Storage Only
Sound Boost Pro uses Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API to save your per-site volume preferences. This data is stored entirely on your local device and includes only:
- Domain name (e.g., youtube.com)
- Your preferred volume boost level (1–6)
- Whether boosting was enabled or disabled
This data is never transmitted to any server. It exists only on your device.

Third-Party Services
Sound Boost Pro uses zero third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or external APIs. The extension makes no network requests whatsoever.
Audio Data
Audio is processed locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. The audio stream passes through a GainNode for amplification, then goes directly to your speakers. Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Children’s Privacy
Since Sound Boost Pro does not collect any data from anyone, it complies with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). No data is collected from users of any age.
Changes to This Policy
Changes to this privacy policy are rare and minor. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
